George C. Scott George C. Scott was born in Philadelphia in 1926 to N. Budd and Ida Steinmann Scott. One brother Howard B. Scott. The family was living at 320 Vine Street in 1940. George enlisted in the US Navy and served on the USS Anacostia (AO-94), an Escambia-class replenishment oiler in the Western Pacific in WWII. His name was found in a crew autograph book dated 1945. Nickname "Sparky". Probably an electrician. George married Marie L. Scott, nee Grab, of Delanco in 1952. They were married for 47 years. They appear to have lived in Cinnaminson, then at 201 Delview Lane in Delanco. George served as Master PGC of Riverside Masonic Lodge #187 in 1964. George died February 11 1999 at age 73 yrs. Marie died in 2009 at age 83. Both are buried in Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson. George C. Scott was listed on the original Delanco WW II Honor Roll. US Navy USS Acostia (AO-94) Electrician?
